‘Big Brother Canada 2’ review: Did the loved ones visit make you cry?
Can we petition to have the loved ones visit every “Big Brother Canada” season here on out? There’s some irony here in that this is the part of “Survivor” that we traditionally do not care for, mostly because you only have 13 or so episodes to get to know the players. When you’re getting so many more here plus the live feeds, it’s nice to see where these people come from.
The only part of this that was a little strange was the arbitrary punishments for each person. For example, Sabrina being on slop for a week is harder to us than some of the other punishments, since that stuff can really wear you down. Neda losing her belongings is only rough since she can’t change around her outfit.
We wonder what this experience was like for the guys, like Jon’s father who made the journey from Newfoundland just to spend two minutes with his son where he couldn’t talk about anything that would compromise the game in any way. He was probably our favorite from a personality standpoint, but Sabrina’s sister also brought the fun for being almost as emotional as Sabrina herself. Almost. Heather’s boyfriend was surprisingly calm given the circumstances, and we’ve already forgotten about most of Adel’s. Neda’s sister was pretty genuine, though, as we know that she has actually been watching the live feeds non-stop almost all season long.
As for the actual action of the episode game-wise, there was more product integration (was this a part of Twistos corporate retreat rave party?) in the Power of Veto, which Heather won. Adel replaced her, and is likely to go home over Sabrina on Thursday night’s live show. This is much to the chagrin of Jon, who wanted to be at the end with Jon. Grade: B.
