‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 8, ‘Bones’ season 10, and the Laura Spencer debate
So basically, Spencer is in a great position for an actress who is not a series regular on either show: She gets to hop back and forth, make appearances, and build up a further resume for herself beyond just “Lizzie Bennet Diaries.” Speaking to TVLine, “Big Bang Theory” showrunner Steve Molaro gave a quote that suggests that while Spencer may be busy, the two shows are going to find a way to make it work:
“We are aware [of her Bones role], and they are aware that we are using her, too … [She will] be back next season… I’m sure it will be one of those things where we can work it out, scheduling-wise, [with Bones] and it’ll all be OK.”
“Bones” executive producer Stephen Nathan, meanwhile, gave a quote to the website that was far more hilarious than informative:
“While we don’t want to fight them for her, they should remember we are very good at murder over here.”
Somehow, we imagine that the two shows can make it work. “The Big Bang Theory” has a schedule that is shorter hours than most other shows on TV, though you do have to be extremely on your game when filming in front of a live audience. Also, it helps that both shows film in Los Angeles, so there’s no travel component here.
We’ll be back soon tonight with a review of the latest “Big Bang Theory” episode, which you can see at the link here. Also, be sure to sign up for further TV updates via our CarterMatt Newsletter.
