‘Arrow’ season 2, episode 21 preview: Stephen Amell and a ‘City of Blood’ struggle
Next week, “Arrow” returns yet again with an episode entitled “City of Blood” that looks to try to continue everything that we have seen as of late … and then moves the story up yet another notch. Slade Wilson’s around in full force, and with the title being what it is, you better expect to see more of Sebastian Blood than you have since the middle part of the season. (Seriously, why give Kevin Alejandro the shaft like this?)
Before we do anything else now when it comes to this episode, let’s start things off with the official synopsis from The CW:
“After Slade (Manu Bennett) threatens to take everything Oliver (Stephen Amell) loves away, Oliver decides the fastest way to stop further bloodshed is to surrender to his enemy. Knowing that surrender will surely lead to Oliver’s death, Diggle (David Ramsey) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) go to extreme measures to keep Oliver from confronting Slade. Meanwhile, Thea (Willa Holland) considers leaving town, and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) resumes her crusade against Sebastian Blood (guest star Kevin Alejandro). Finally, Slade unleashes his assault on Starling City.”
In case you’re wondering why Roy wasn’t really brought up in this at all, the simple answer is that this synopsis was released so long ago that they didn’t want to ruin anything about “Seeing Red.” This episode still looks exciting, and with most of the main villains still around, there are crazy things to come for Stephen Amell and company before the story comes to a close. We’ll be here to cover every step of it.
