‘NCIS’ season 11, episode 21 preview: ‘Alleged’ tells an emotional story
There are “NCIS” episodes out there that we find fun and engaging, just as there are also episodes that have a great mystery … and also ones that we don’t find really interesting at all. Then, there are others that try to actually do something important that goes beyond the basic call of duty for the show, and that feels like what we are going to get from “Alleged,” a powerful story that is coming up on the show next week.
As the promo below makes it clear, this will tell the tale of sexual assault within the military, which is a real-world problem with very difficult implications. The victims are people who want to serve their country, but due to the manner in which these assaults happen, it’s difficult for these victims to go back. You are stuck in close quarters much of the time, and in this environment, it can be very easy to be afraid of intimacy.
In case you haven’t seen it yet, the official synopsis for this hour is as follows:
“After a Navy officer is found dead on a rural road, the NCIS team must ascertain if the murder was the result of a bar fight or because he knew too much about an attack on a fellow female officer. Meanwhile, DiNozzo and McGee start a juice cleanse to purge their bodies of impurities.”
So yes, there is a more comedic story going on in the hour, as well, but given what you are dealing with when it comes to the assault, how much time do you really think the show is going to spend on a juice cleanse? We give it about 8 minutes of the show’s 43 … approximately. We’re interested in seeing this story, but acknowledging already that this is not going to be an easy one to watch.

The writers are really failing!!! They can’t get anything interesting going since the introduction of Bishop. She is terrible.

Juice cleanse = poop jokes. Not excited about that. Hope they do better with the rest of the episode.
