‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 10 spoilers: Could Alex leave the hospital?

More news -We already know that Sandra Oh is leaving “Grey’s Anatomy,” and while we have not heard any indication that Justin Chambers is doing the same thing, his character is seemingly at least considering some of the other options that could be out there for his career. This is something that other characters have done in the past, so given his talent and the amount of time that he has been at one place, you cannot really be too shocked that he is considering it now.

Speaking in a new interview with TV Guide about what his future could end up holding, especially after the arrival of a new pediatric surgeon to the hospital, Chambers stated the following:

“Alex thinks [after meeting this character], ‘Maybe I need to possibly think about joining a private practice … He’s starting to see that he could profit a little more than he has.”

There is also traditionally a different sort of energy that you find at a private practice than a hospital. You still deal at times with significant medical emergencies, but life is at least a little bit more structured. Given the hours that he has put in at the Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital, and the future that he wants to prepare for, we don’t see how this does not eventually become something that he seriously starts to look at. Someone else who could give him a little bit of advice on this subject is Amelia, who is arriving on this show following “Private Practice” for an arc a little later this season.

There’s a new episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” on Thursday night with the title of “You Be Illin’,” and if you head over to the link here, you can watch a sneak preview of that now. Also, sign up to get further updates from us via our weekly CarterMatt Newsletter.
