‘The Amazing Race 24’ rankings: Is it between Dave & Connor, Jet & Cord?

Dave and Connor -Now that we are starting to come close to finish line on “The Amazing Race,” this is when we start to get to know the teams well enough to begin our rankings. The fun thing about doing it this season is that you’re not kicking someone who is down; all these people are strong competitors, and capable of going very far on the show. They are just based on performance so far, and also whether or not they have the skills to succeed long-term.

7. Brendon & Rachel – This bums us out tremendously, given how we picked them to win before the season. But three straight episodes of almost going home doesn’t really bode well for Team Big Brother at this point.

6. Jessica & John – They are probably better racers than this ranking shows, but they seem to be victims quite a bit of bad luck, whether it be a bleeding foot or a fish not deciding to bite on their fishing line. There are so many strong teams that the margin if error is tiny.

5. Caroline & Jennifer – We’ve come around on the fact that they are better racers than we’ve previously given them credit for. While some may not like their strategy of relying on other people for help and playing off of perception, ir works. Whatever you have to do to survive in the race is all that matters.

4. Flight Time & Big Easy – This is the same exact performance from the Globetrotters that we expected going into the show this season. They never really look like a team that is going to win, but are entertaining and capable of going pretty far.

3. Leo & Jamal – We love the Afghanimals, even if they are a little crazy and play to the cameras almost constantly. We also feel like they’ve been really good so far this season. The problem is that they’ve had a number of opportunities to win a leg so far, and they have never been able to get over that hump.

2. Jet & Cord – Clearly, the cowboys are probably golden until at least the final five. They are very strong in tasks, and have an Express Pass. The only thing that keeps them from #1 in our eyes is that they are prone to being reckless and making mistakes here and there.

1. Dave & Connor – These guys just have things going right for them at almost every tun. They recover from mistakes quickly, they get along great, and while they’re not the fastest team left, they are the most efficient. They are also the only team left yet to place in the bottom half of the pack.
