‘Supernatural’ season 9: See Jared Padalecki, crew celebrate Jensen Ackles’ birthday

You have to give credit many times over to Jared Padalecki for this new “Supernatural” story. First of all, he’s kind enough to want to make his co-star feel special for his birthday. Secondly, he’s sharing some sort of image of the celebration with everyone online. It’s obviously been common knowledge for some time that Jensen Ackles doesn’t have a Twitter account, and really doesn’t seem too interested in that. We can’t really blame him at times, mostly because we know the internet can be a pretty insane place.

But, with images like the one below, Jensen still feels like a part of the social-media world without having to be involved in it directly. Really, it’s the best of both worlds.

Jared claimed in this Twitter post that the photo was taken at 12:01 a.m., right after the star officially turned 36. It’s once again more evidence of the close-knit nature of the #SPNFamily. These are people who work with each other around the clock, and in a place in Vancouver that is for some of them pretty far away from home.

“Supernatural” is deep into production right now on its ninth season, and will be until a little later in the spring. Given that the show has already been renewed for a tenth season, there really is no reason to worry about anyone having to tie the series up in the upcoming finale this May.
