‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5: Paul Wesley reacts to scary gun situation

The latest -On “The Vampire Diaries,” we often see Paul Wesley’s character of Stefan Salvatore in pretty scary situations, but the difference between that in real life is that you always know that no matter how bad things get for Stefan, the actor behind him is always going to be okay.

However, that was not necessarily the case for Wesley this weekend, as he had to deal with real-life fear after experiencing a feeling at gunpoint that many others have around the world. This is real fear, and he also used a Twitter post after the fact on Saturday to make a statement regarding gun rules in regulations in America:

“A seemingly random act of a gun being pulled on me yesterday only compounded my deep loathing and disgust for the gun laws in this country.”

We’ll leave the political discussion to the comments below, but let’s just say that Paul is hardly the only TV actor to take this strong stance against real-life violence and regulations. We’re just happy that he turned out to be okay, and that he can use his social media after the fact to speak out about whatever he believes in. This is something that all members of “The Vampire Diaries” family have used at some point or another for various causes.

This is currently airing new episodes on The CW every Thursday night, and there will be another one coming up in the week ahead. One episode airing in April is actually going to mark Paul’s directorial debut, and he has been putting in some extra-long hours in order to make certain that this episode lives up to his high expectations.
