‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 9 spoilers: Chris Elliot returns, and Marshall’s new journey

Before “How I Met Your Mother” comes to a close, there are still many more callbacks and guest appearances that are going to happen. Take, for example, about the return of Chris Elliot on the upcoming episode “Daisy.” Lily’s father has been a painful part of her past, but  he has become a better part of her life over the past couple of the years. Plus, this guy is such an icon that we are always thrilled anytime that he happens to come back.

While there are still questions as to the meaning of this episode’s title, the good news is that you are going to find out in just under two weeks when this airs on March 10. Want more? Then just allow the official synopsis to be your guide:

“Marshall enlists Ted and Barney to help him figure out where Lily went when she left in the middle of their fight.”

One easy guess is that Lily was spending time with her father, but there are some much more interesting answers and scenarios that could play out here. She’s a character who has always had a little bit of a wild side, and we are more than interested in seeing that play out. Plus, this is one of the final five episodes of the show. They are not going to put something on the air at this time unless it is a pretty huge deal.
