‘Arrow’ season 2 spoilers: First look at Diggle and the Suicide Squad

Arrow -Have you missed some Diggle stories on “Arrow” lately? We totally understand, since the show has been somewhat lacking in that department. The most that we have seen of David Ramsey’s character is in random bits of dialogue, but that will changed during the episode airing on Wednesday, March 19 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time.

Just how much Diggle is involved in this story? Let’s just put it this way: Early indications from Stephen Amell are that he really wasn’t needed for a big chunk of filming for this episode, mostly because Ramsey handled most of everything. The story for this episode is going to revolve around Diggle and girlfriend Lyla Michaels being recruited by Amanda Waller of ARGUS for a mission, in which she pairs them with the Suicide Squad: Criminals who work with the government in return for a shorter prison sentence. It is basically the comic-book equivalent to the story of “White Collar,” which, by the ways, needs to totally be renewed already.

Anyway, the photo above (via Comic Book Resources) features from left to right Bronze Tiger (Michael Jai White), Shrapnel (Sean Maher), Amanda Waller (Cynthia Addai-Robinson), Deadshot (Michael Rowe), Lyla (Audrey Marie Anderson), and then Diggle. Given the history between Dig and the villain otherwise known as Floyd Lawton, we imagine this not exactly being his perfect choice of task.

The last that we saw of this group, it was at the end of “Tremors” when Bronze Tiger ended up joining the group, and we don’t know if we will see them again until this episode rolls around. In the end, we are personally okay with that as someone who does worry sometimes about the show trying to bite off more than it can chew.
