‘The Following’ season 2, episode 5 preview: Ryan and Max’s next move
At the end of this past episode of “The Following,” we saw an intense chase involving Ryan and Max all across New York City. It was beyond exciting, very intense, and more than anything it gave us an opportunity to see that while things change in this world, they also stay the same. The bad guys continue to find a way to escape, and Ryan continues to partially lose at this game.
Luckily for him, the preview below from Monday’s episode suggests that this time around, he may actually win when it comes to capturing one of Joe’s followers … with the real operating term in there being “may.” Max punching her in the face seems to be the real nail in the coffin to making sure this woman is captured; however, at the same time there is a difference between being captured and actually being useful. It is also very well possible that if you get this woman in the wrong situation or surrounded by the wrong people, she finds a way to inflict even more harm and destruction … and we’re assuming that nobody wants that.
This is the episode that we feel could be a turning point for the show. Season 2 hasn’t been that interesting yet, and the low ratings are proving that time and time again. There needs to be something to mark a genuine turning of the tide, since otherwise, this lack of interest could only grow exponentially.
What do you think: Are Ryan and Max really wasting their time trying to catch someone who likely does not have any real interest talking with anyone? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below, and also head over to the link here to see another preview that is much more Lily-centric.
