‘The Walking Dead’ season 4 spoilers: Norman Reedus, Daryl Dixon, and identity
Are there some major issues coming up on “The Walking Dead” for Daryl Dixon? It certainly sounds like it, at least based on some of the latest comments coming out now from the writer of the comic series.
The good news for Norman Reedus’ character? That Daryl Dixon is still alive. At this point, that has to be something worth celebrating. We have already seen many times over when it comes to this show that difficult circumstances can alter people in significant ways, though, and Daryl’s got a hard time ahead. He is away from the prison, and also forced to fend for a much smaller group:
Speaking in a new interview with TV Guide, Robert Kirkman had the following to say on the subject of Daryl’s evolution, or what could in some ways be a devolution now that he is put into such a position:
“We’re really going to be seeing him struggling with whether he can maintain who he’s become or is he going to revert back to who he was before … Sadly, it looks like Beth is going to be caught in the crossfire.”
Does that mean that we are about to see the end for Beth as we know it? We’re filing that as “doubtful” for the moment, mostly because the last thing that we would expect would be for Kirkman to give away a significant “Walking Dead” scoop in something like a story. Plus, that seems to be too many people in this family suffering given what happened to Hershel.
