‘Glee’: Hear ‘You’re Mine,’ Lea Michele’s song for Cory Monteith

Louder -While the majority of the songs on Lea Michele’s upcoming debut album “Louder” were largely not geared towards any one person, she had previously said that a song in “You’re Mine” was specifically about and made her think of Cory Monteith. Now, she has made that song available for fans to pick up prior to the disc’s release early next month.

While there are some full-length versions of the song floating around the internet at the moment, we wanted to include the preview version of the song here, since that is what Lea has officially put out there for fans to listen to. We have heard the full version, though, and it’s a song that we can easily hear the connection that Lea has to it. It’s a different sound than most everything else that she has on “Louder,” and plays like an optimistic love song without all of the sadness that would have been easy to inject in there.

As for how Lea’s album is going to sell, that is what we are still very interested in finding out. None of her songs to date have made a huge splash on the radio, but we know that “Glee” fans are an active fan base who constantly support their own. What is interesting about “Louder,” though, is that she is not necessarily trying the pattern of recording something that is pop radio-friendly strictly for the purpose of doing so. Instead, Lea created music that suited her voice and what it is capable of doing. In the end, this is probably going to lead to a better overall listening experience; after all, it has so far.

Of course, we will have some more news on all of the rest of Lea’s upcoming songs as soon as we have an opportunity to hear them. For now, what do you think about “You’re Mine”? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below, and also head over here to see some more highlights of what is coming up on “Glee.”
