NBC’s ‘Hannibal’ season 2 spoilers: First look at Cynthia Nixon

“Hannibal” is going to be on the air two weeks from Friday, and we now have a first look of someone who is just one of many ambitious guest stars who is going to be coming on board the show in the future.

So who are we talking about here? It’s none other than Cynthia Nixon. We reported last year that the former “Sex and the City” cast member is set to play FBI investigator Kade Purnell in an arc this coming season. Given Nixon’s knack for being awesome at pretty much everything, she should make for a great addition to the cast. Plus, we feel like “Hannibal” needs almost anything and everything that it can get in order to get the ratings up for the new season.

As for the major story of the season, expect to see something very much around Will Graham’s attempts to clear his own name, and prove that Dr. Lecter is not the man that he claims to be. Expect to see many twists and turns, along with some other horrifying situations to go along with it that the show has become known for over time. One other reason to be optimistic about the show’s future is that it has a timeslot following “Grimm” on Friday night where it should be a perfect fit; not only that, but there is not going to be too much in the way of competition from some of the other shows.
