‘Arrow’ season 2 spoilers: Colton Haynes hints at more trouble for Roy, Thea

Roy -In the world of “Arrow,” relationships are not exactly an easy thing to come by. After all, there is a whole chorus of reasons as to why they are not going to work out quite like you planned, beginning with the simple fact that there are lives constantly hanging in the balance, and the guilt and the pain that comes with that often keeps people from making the move to be together.

Then, there is the issue of honesty and trust, and when you are a pretty terrible liar like Roy Harper, it makes it pretty hard for you to continue to be dishonest to those around you. Roy not only has to keep from Thea Queen that he has these bizarre new powers that he is still learning how to use, but that he is also aware of the fact that her own brother Oliver is the man behind the hood. Speaking to E! News, Colton Haynes makes an analogy to another long-running show when describing how this is probably going to go:

“He has to continue to lie to her, and he told her that he wasn’t going to lie to her anymore, which was obviously a lie … If you’re a fan of Dawson’s Creek, and the relationships in Dawson’s Creek, then you will know how the relationship is going to go between Roy and Thea.”

The irony here is that we feel like if Thea did know the truth about everything here, she probably would not tell anyone; but, obviously both Roy and Oliver feel like the fewer people who know, the better off for everyone’s sake. The only real downside we see to all of this is that if a villain figures out that Oliver is the Arrow and goes after Thea, she will have no clue what is going on.
