‘Downton Abbey’ season 4, episode 6 preview (PBS): Maggie Smith, Michelle Dockery teasers
Can you believe that we are already nearing the end of “Downton Abbey” season 4? There are only two episodes left this season beyond the one airing tonight on PBS, and all of them have some pretty significant events taking place. This is the time when the action has to start to wind down, and in order for that to happen, some of the stories that you have seen unfold as of late have to start to near a resolution.
What we will say here first and foremost is that you may or may not agree with every choice that the series makes here, but there are some moves coming up that are bold ones. Want to avoid minor spoilers? Then stop reading now. We’re not going to give anything major away while sharing some tiny teasers of what is coming up, but some of you may still want to shy away.
1. The Dowager is sick – For those of you perpetually worried about Maggie Smith leaving the show, this is the episode that will make your hair stand on end. The good news? You’re going to know one way or another by the end of this as to whether or not her exit is actually happening.
2. Something big for Mary – Things are going to get messy for Michelle Dockery’s character this week, and we mean that in perhaps the most literal sense of the word possible.
3. Edith makes a choice – You know already that she is pregnant, but by the end of this one you should have much more of an idea as to what she wants to do with her unborn child.
4. Rose’s romance continues – You are going to see more of her surprising coupling in here with Jack Ross, and all the while, you may start to wonder more and more just how genuine this romance really is. Are we seeing her love for the right reasons?
