‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: See Lea Michele, Naya Rivera, and a slap in new promo
“Glee” has been off the air for so long, it may be hard for some to even remember that school for the gang at McKinley High is even still in session. However, February 25 really is not that long away anymore, and we now have a new promo for the show’s return “Frenemies” that promises plenty of drama waiting in the wings for the characters who graduated from school seasons ago.
While this promo is extremely short and doesn’t give away much, you do have Rachel (Lea Michele) slapping Santana (Naya Rivera) in the face. Why’s she upset? Could it be for the simple (spoiler alert!) reason that Santana accepted the role of understudy in “Funny Girl”? You know that this is the sort of thing that would make Rachel extremely upset, especially if she feels like she really had control of this role herself.
This promo does also include a brief little scene of Sue Sylvester mocking people, but it’s hard tor really allow that to impact us too much one way or another. We love Jane Lynch and question how she has all the time to do this show and “Hollywood Game Night,” but at the same time, there is very little else that this character can do anymore that would legitimately have us jumping up and down with excitement.
One thing that does? The possibility of seeing Adam Lambert’s Starchild back on board for this episode.
