‘The Mindy Project’ season 2 spoilers: Now featuring ‘New Girl’s’ Max Greenfield
How is this for a little bit of exiting news? On an upcoming episode of “The Mindy Project” this season, we are going to be seeing a guest spot from someone who knows a thing or two about making people laugh on a Fox comedy series: Max Greenfield.
Specifically, the “New Girl” star is going to appear on an upcoming season 2 episode airing in April (which is when the show comes back after a long hiatus) in the role of Lee, a guy at a bar who certainly likes the ladies. While this is a role that seems to be somewhat similar to Schmidt, it is sadly not actually Schmidt.
Even still, this move does feel like another way to try to make sure that fans of “New Girl” also are interested in watching this show to go along with it. We know that “The Mindy Project” has suffered at times when it comes to the ratings, and is the least-watched of the show when it comes to total viewers. (It is at least competitive in the 18-49 demographic with “Dads.”)
Greenfield, like most of the “New Girl” cast, is understandably coming off of a bit of a high right now. The Super Bowl episode just posted the show’s best ratings to date, and the hope is that at least a few of them manage to stick around for the next new episode on Tuesday night. “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” is more than likely doing the same exact thing.
What do you think about Greenfield on “The Mindy Project,” and are there any other sort of random guest-star appearances from some other Fox actors that you’d like to see on the show? Share some of your thoughts with a comment below!
