Kitten Bowl 2014: How to watch, live stream Puppy Bowl rival-of-sorts
Ladies and gentlemen, we introduce to you the most unoriginal idea ever! Rather than try to come up with something entirely new to celebrate Super Bowl Sunday, the Hallmark Channel has come up with the “Kitten Bowl” … seriously. Basically, it’s the Puppy Bowl with cats. We like cats, and on that basis alone, it’s hard to really say that this is a terrible ripof… er… idea. Cynicism aside, it is helping to promote a number of great cat-related causes, so everything else really gets a pass in favor of that.
Plus, cuteness! In the video below, you can see a stream of some of the action that is taking place behind the scenes, though we have to say in general that most of these “live streams” advertised around the internet are somewhat of a misdirect. They suggest that there is some sort of stream of the action event going on, but that is not actually the case. Instead, they just give you a look at some isolated action to enhance the experience more.
All of these events do drive some pretty substantial ratings for their networks on the big day, and for the Kitten Bowl, the best way to watch is to simply turn on the Hallmark Channel now. If you wait any longer, you are going to miss out on some of the experience. The smart thing at least for this event is that it airs at a time when you are not yet watching the Puppy Bowl, and you can turn your dial (if you actually still have a dial) over to Animal Planet in time to watch the festivities happen there at 3:00 p.m. Eastern. You can watch that, and still have time to catch all of the Super Bowl itself when it starts on Fox a little later in the afternoon.
