‘The Originals’ episode 12 video: Claire Holt’s Rebekah and a challenge
Is Rebekah going to actually stand up to Klaus, even if it means going against her brother Elijah’s wishes? That is going to be one of the themes of Tuesday night’s new episode of “The Originals” entitled “Dance Back from the Grave,” and we have it for you in the sneak-peek video below.
In this clip, Daniel Gillies’ character challenges his sister (played by Claire Holt) to believe what he is saying to her about Klaus actually making some sort of an effort now to be a better brother. He has invited them back into the family home, which is at least a reasonably big move for him to make. (It is certainly more than he has done in the past.) Elijah actually feels like there is some hope there for him to finally turn things around after so many years of being devil-like, and he stresses to Rebekah to take his word for it and back down from her plans.
However, Rebekah appears to at least be sticking to her guns … for now … in whatever she has planned. It feels in some ways like Marcel abandoning her earlier this season is what helped to wake Rebekah from what has been a perpetual slumber for her character; the problem now is that she is actually develop some sort of a backbone at time when it is not very convenient for others. She does have a different experience with Klaus than Elijah does, so it is not exactly that much of a surprise that she is somewhat wary of doing what he says. Just remember, for example, how many times that she has been daggered in between here and “The Vampire Diaries.” That may be enough for you to hesitate and balk at any plan that actually involves falling back into a pattern where you start to trust Klaus again.
