‘Call the Midwife’ season 3, episode 2 preview: The future for Jessica Raine, cast
Where does the story go from here on “Call the Midwife”? Thankfully, we are not going to wait too long at all to find out an answer to that.
In the preview for next week’s episode that aired following the premiere on Sunday night, you had the opportunity to see a few of the stories that will be at the center of the show for a while. There is going to be a debate over leadership moving forward, just as there is also going to be a story about romance and trying to find yourself. When you consider how this era was to many women in it, that is not a very easy thing at times to figure out.
As for one of the more isolated storylines this week, we will have a chance to see what happens when a woman arrives to give birth under some very unusual circumstances. She is unfortunately not going to have the same sort of luxuries that many other in her position did … namely a loving father for the child.
Will this season be a hit? While it may not get the same sort of attention in the US as such shows as “Downton Abbey” and “Sherlock,” the ratings for its Christmas Special were actually higher than those for “Downton Abbey.” It’s going to be on the air in the United States come March, so you have a little while to go if you’re waiting to see the show on the small screen there.
What do you think the rest of the season of “Call the Midwife” is going to bring? Share some of your thoughts below.
