‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 9, episode 15 video: A very funny Cobie Smulders peek

How I Met Your Mother -Over the course of the series’ run, “How I Met Your Mother” has made quite a living for itself courtesy of the various antics of Barney Stinson. He is a man known for being such a giant character, and having so many different lies and schemes up his sleeve that it becomes a game trying to figure out what is truth, and what is ultimately fiction.

All of this is what ultimately makes the new episode “Unpause” airing on CBS on Monday night all the more interesting. More or less, this is the big opportunity to learn whether or not he has been telling the truth about anything. In the sneak peek below, you can see Neil Patrick Harris’ character struggle with his booze, mostly to the point that he is so drunk that he actually starts to tell the truth about anything.

We’ve all seen this sort of sitcom trope before, but “How I Met Your Mother” has this amazing tendency to make almost any toke comedy cliche into something super-entertaining. Therefore, we see some awesome stuff coming up when it comes to the sort of stuff that we get out of him, and Cobie Smulders and Josh Radnor both play this perfectly. Ted and Robin realize that a super-drunk Barney is basically their holy grail, since almost every one of their long-burning questions can finally be answered. The best way to ultimately describe this is just by saying that it is a heck of a fun time.

Also, there may not be too many more opportunities for there to be silly moments like this with the show. We are, after all, very close to the end, after as we get closer to the wedding at the end of the show, things will surely start to turn more to being about Ted and The Mother.

One final thing to note here: According to the show creators, the names of Ted and The Mother’s kids are going to be revealed in this one.
