‘Downton Abbey’ season 4, episode 2 preview (PBS): Hints on Tom, Edna, more
Did you enjoy the two-hour “Downton Abbey” premiere that came on PBS tonight? Well, what we have for you now is something that could bring a smile to your face if you are hungry for more news on your favorite characters: Scoop on what is coming immediately around the bend.
If you thought that there were parts of the premiere that we depressing, the bad news that we have for you here is that things are not going to get any better next week. There is one event that takes place that is so shocking, we cannot really even bear to speak of it much here. Let’s just say that it could change the way that you think of the entire show as a whole, and not just leave you with an emotional reaction about the characters involved.
Also, the story regarding Edna, the shrewd / evil woman who is now working at Downton once again, is far from over. What is she going to do this time following her previous attempts to woo Tom Branson? She is a woman incapable of steering herself away from trouble, so don’t expect anything different.
As for Mary, who spent most of the premiere figuring out her next move, she will start to enter the world of society again. As a matter of fact, everyone will have an opportunity to do so courtesy of a lavish event coming up that yields all sorts of great social opportunity.
The only other bit of scoop that we will present for now is just a fascinating little factoid from Britain. At the time that this episode aired, it was one in a small handful that was not passed along to the press ahead of time. Why was that? There was something that they really didn’t want to be spoiled.
