‘Doctor Who’ season 8 spoilers: Is Peter Capaldi getting set to start filming?
The bad news with “Doctor Who” is that following the Christmas Special over the holidays, there is going to be quite a substantial wait until the show returns to the BBC in September or October. The good news? At least filming is going to start up soon, so you are really not going to have to wait too much longer to really see some of the action unfold and for us to get a few little reports here and there from the set.
According to a Mirror source, filming for the show is actually going to start up in a couple of days, and Capaldi is going to be ready to bring us his interpretation to the classic character:
“We are all geared up and ready to start filming, it is always exciting at the start of a Doctor Who series, but even more so when we have a new Doctor. Peter is [a] Whovian and has been a fan since he was a kid so he will have been looking forward to it as much as us. Everyone can’t wait to get started.”
The fact that Capaldi is such a massive fan of the series going in is an epic win, mostly because he is the sort of guy who is going to okay with taking on some of the long commitments that are occasionally going to come with filming the series. Sometimes, the going does get tough, but if Capaldi continues to have that wide-eyed enthusiasm while working on the show, that could make it much easier.
So far, little is known about how Peter is going to play the new version of the Doctor, save for that he will have a little bit of the same sort of goofiness based on the “kidneys” line.
