‘The Price Is Right’ gives away Audi R8 V8 Spyder Quattro S Tronic, biggest daytime prize ever
When you have a name for your car like the Audi R8 V8 Spyder Quattro S Tronic, you can pretty well guess that this is something that is going to cost the equivalent of buying your own island. This car is valued at well over $150,000, and was the most expensive prize ever on “The Price Is Right” when it was won earlier this week.
The lucky woman who ended up snagging the prize was Tacoma, Washington resident Sheree Heil, who managed to take home the car after playing a game of Gas Money where she actually managed to eliminate all of the wrong prizes. This has to be in some ways luck-based, given that there is no way in the world that an ordinary person would know how much a car like this would possibly cost.
What we are slightly more curious about right now is simply what Heil is going to do with this car now? If we were her, the smartest option would be to probably sell it and get whatever cash she can out of it since it is probably insanely expensive to insure it.
But for Audi, this had to be a great little bit of advertising for them to get this car on the show. For all of the ridiculously wealthy “Price Is Right” viewers on Monday, and there may have been more of them than usual thanks to many offices being closed for the holidays, it was a nice little bit of advertising that also has a place now in the show’s history.
