‘The Tomorrow People’ spoilers: Does Stephen have a better clue on his father?

Have you missed “The Tomorrow People” on the air? Well come early next month, the superhero saga will be back on The CW with “The Citadel,” an episode that we are assuming is not some sort of reference to the famed station in “Mass Effect.” (Then again, we’d have no problem at all if this was the case.)

At the start of this episode, the show will waste very little time in looking to address a very important issue: Is there a chance that Stephen’s father is still out there, and can he be found in time to really be of use in the battle against Ultra? Unfortunately, the synopsis below suggests that there is going to be a pretty hard time ahead in the attempt to even convince some of his fellow Tomorrow People that his cause is even worth fighting for:

“After Stephen (Robbie Amell) returns from the brink, he thinks he has a clue to what happened to his father, but his fellow Tomorrow People are not sure they believe him. When the Tomorrow People learn some disappointing news from John (Luke Mitchell), they make an unexpected decision about their future. The Tomorrow People finally get a lead on Ultra’s secret research lab and they devise a dangerous plan to free all those being held captive there. Meanwhile, Stephen’s mom introduces Stephen and his brother Luca (guest star Jacob Kogan) to a new man she is dating, but Stephen is having a hard time getting a read on him.”

Can we say that we really hope that the new man in the life of Stephen’s mom is actually interested in her? It’s one of our personal TV pet peeves that we are automatically supposed to assume that everyone is going to be involved in the core story, and it is much more interesting when matters are complex.

What are you hoping to see out of “The Tomorrow People” when it returns? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below.
