‘True Blood’ season 7 spoilers: One of the first casting nuggets
If you love “True Blood,” you know (as per many of the promos that the show has used over the years) that “waiting sucks.” Luckily, we do have at least a new tiny detail to share now about some of what could be coming up this year.
According to news on Twitter first captured by show fansite The Vault, Brett Lorenzini has been cast to appear in the Stephen Moyer-directed season 7 premiere as the character “Troy.” Granted, this name could just be a code for something else, and there are not many details related to the part released at this time. Given that he only has one other credit listed on his IMDb page, this is probably just a very small role. (It is rather fun, though, that he has a slight physical resemblance to Matt Davis from another supernatural show in “The Vampire Diaries.”)
What is probably more important news beyond just this or any casting is that “True Blood” filming is just about upon us! Early in January is when production will really get going, and the final chapter for some of our beloved characters is going to start to shape up in some way. There is no premiere date just yet, but if you follow along recent tradition, you should probably expect “True Blood” season 7 to launch at some point right after the end of “Game of Thrones” season 4. Traditionally, this is the path that we have seen the show take.
Some of the stories that we know will be explored include Sookie and Alcide’s relationship, humans having a vampire companion to save them from infection, and also what transpired to Eric Northman after it appeared that the sun was going to take him out at the end of season 6.
