‘The Walking Dead’ season 4 spoilers: Big news on Michael Cudlitz, Josh McDermitt
There has been all sorts of talk about the future of “The Walking Dead” really ever since the season finale aired, but to a great extent, the two characters that people want to know the most about in Eugene and Abraham haven’t even shown up yet. It will be at some point in the back half of season 4 where the two turn up, and they will have an opportunity to really assimilate into the world of the show.
But while you will see them, it is premature still to say that you are really going to know them on any sort of significant level just yet. As showrunner Scott M. Gimple told Vulture recently, it could actually be season 5 before some of their backstories start to become a little bit clearer for everyone to see:
“We get to know them a little bit. They affect the characters’ stories a great deal, but we’re not going to get into their stories in a deep way until next season.”
The biggest news item in here to us is the simple note that these characters are going to live to season 5, which is not a luxury you usually get when talking about anyone on this show. While we’re sure that most have assumed that they would make it out alive courtesy of Michael Cudlitz and Josh McDermitt being named series regulars, however for anyone who hasn’t read the comics or reads much in the way of news online, it’s hard to assume anything. Heck, the same even goes for comic fans, given that Robert Kirkman likes to change it up between the two mediums.
