NBC’s ‘The Voice’ results: Did Cole Vosbury, Jacquie Lee, and Will Champlin make finale?
There was no more intense results show for “The Voice” this season than the one airing on NBC Tuesday night. Basically, you had five really good singers, and only three of them were going to make it into the finale. There was no terrible performer in the bunch, and nobody who was clearly so far behind that they would not have a shot at making it further.
With that being said, it was not a shock to see James Wolpert be the first contestant sent home on the night. He needed America to save him this past week, and he also performed at the very start of the show this week. That’s a combination for disappointment, especially since he was last on iTunes of the five remaining.
It was after this that things got a little more interesting. Tessanne Chin and her #1 spot on iTunes were of course safe until the next round, which left us with a lineup of Will Champlin, Cole Vosbury, and Jacquie Lee. We figured that Jacquie did enough on iTunes to also be safe, and this was proven when she became the second official finalist of the bunch.
That’s where it got interesting: The beard versus the sort-of beard. These two guys were both stolen by coaches at points during the competition, and have already gone through this experience of feeling like they have gone home. But Will advanced! This coincided with iTunes, but we’re still stunned that Cole and Blake Shelton’s fans didn’t pull this through for him. This is the first time ever that Blake will not have an artist in the top two of the season. Instead, it’s now Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera going head to head, with the other two coaches offering advice in the wings.
Do you think that the voters made the right choice tonight on “The Voice” finale, and are you more excited for next week than ever? Share your thoughts below! Of course, we’ll be back later this weekend with full rankings of the finalists, and also a few other assorted details.

I’m sad that Cole is gone. He deserved to be in the Top 3. Now I’m rooting for Will to win the season.
Also, it’s frustrating how easy it is to foretell the results by looking at the iTunes rank. It takes away all the excitement from watching the eliminations.

I was a Cole fan from the beginning. Now that he and Caroline are gone I’m no longer invested. Final three are all good singers, but none stand out or are all that memorable.

I’m not really surprised, given that voters aren’t real excited about any of the contestants. As a result, the weekly iTunes downloads foretells the winners. Right now, despite Tessanne’s #1 on iTunes, I suspect Jacquie is the new frontrunner.
