‘Homeland’ season 3 finale spoilers: Claire Danes, Damian Lewis tease story, location
Sunday night on “Homeland” season 3, the story is going to come to a close for the next nine or so months courtesy of “The Star.” This is a chance to find out whether or not Nicholas Brody has really changed his ways and can be redeemed … and also if he can ever come back home and start to build a new life again.
But before you come to that, why not tease the finale in one word? As you would expect, that word is “shocking.” In the video below, you can see the likes of Damian Lewis, Claire Danes, Mandy Patinkin and others as they tease this episode, and it wouldn’t be “Homeland” unless you were starting to wonder just whose side everyone was on.
In addition to discussing the events coming up in the episode, the actors also discuss what it was like actually filming the final two episodes in Morocco, which is doubling as “Tehran” for their purposes. This entire filming, if you missed the headlines from earlier this year, was moved after initial plans were for them to shoot in Israel. Thanks to everything going on in Syria and other parts of the Middle East, it was deemed too dangerous for them to be there. The unfortunate thing is that they had many of their traditional employees and locations in the region, as there was an infrastructure there thanks to the show that they were originally based on.
But in the end, the location is only one part of what is going to be a larger and very important story here. If Brody finds a way to survive this finale, then it is very possible that he could be around for a little while moving forward. If he dies … well, it wouldn’t be much of a surprise, and you could draw an almost curious parallel between him this year and The Governor from “The Walking Dead.”
