‘Masters of Sex’ episode 11 preview: Is Libby about to find out the truth?

As excellent as “Masters of Sex” has been so far this season, the preview for Sunday night’s penultimate season 1 episode already looks like it could take the cake as the most exciting episode that we’ve seen yet. This is an hour that could combine a little bit of everything, whether you are talking about drama, heartache, romance, and a number of surprising moments.

But perhaps there would be no bigger surprise than the idea of Libby finally learning the truth about where her husband’s heart really lies at this point. In the preview video below, you can see Masters allowing his wife to take on the secretarial position in the wake of Virginia’s exit from the study, which of course puts her in more direct contact with all of the information in it. She’s not an idiot by any means, which means that it doesn’t take her long before she figures out that there was one couple who continued to come back to the study, time after time after time. She never comes out in the preview and says that she knows what’s going on … but it isn’t that hard to figure out that she is onto something.

Meanwhile, there seems to be more potential romance in the air between Ethan and Virginia, we see Johnson get more involved in her old singing profession, and there is also the return of Virginia’s ex-husband to the proceedings. Also, Masters apparently feels the need to throw a fire extinguisher, since he is a very angry man and all. There is only one episode left after this one, so whatever happens here is sure to carry over, and create a final episode here that sets the stage for something very emotional to put a pin in season 1.
