‘The Bachelor’ cast spotlight: Meet Juan Pablo Galavis contestant Alexis Morgado
With Juan Pablo Galavis having so many contestants on “The Bachelor” this season, it’s going to be hard for us to try and figure out who everyone is pretty early on in the game. A ton of people will be sent home the first two weeks, and odds are, you’re not going to have an opportunity to get to know many of them. This is where our cast spotlight feature comes in!
Every day from now leading up to the January 6 premiere, we will be highlighting one of the contestants out to steal Juan Pablo Galavis’ heart, along with some details about them and gauging whether or not they could be a good match. Let it be known that these spotlights are SPOILER FREE, so don’t take our analysis as any sort of hint about how someone is going to do right away in the competition.
We’re going in alphabetical order, and thanks to that, we’re starting with Alexis Morgado, who at least on paper seems to be a pretty good match for Juan Pablo. Before we do anything else, let’s start by sharing the official photo from ABC that gives you some of her basic facts:
Possible pros – Based on some of her other biographical information online, she is of Cuban heritage. While that’s different than Juan Pablo’s own Venezuelan roots, there is still a Latin culture commonality that they share. That’s an easy way to survive the early weeks. She also lives presently in the same state that he does, and at least on paper isn’t screaming that she is going to be an awful person.
Possible cons – She seems to be very religious based on referencing her Catholic faith more than once, and we haven’t seen that much conversation on that subject from Juan Pablo. Also, there’s nothing from her that screams “aggressive,” and you at least need a certain amount of assertiveness in this show to be noticed.
Pre-show outlook – We don’t feel like Alexis will win this show, but she seems capable of being one of those girls who makes it to the final four and gets eliminated. Possibly a bachelorette contender? Maybe. She has the sort of biography that suggests that she’s got that combination of idealism and also independence that the show loves.
