NBC’s ‘The Voice’: Alum Danielle Bradbery, Michelle Chamuel, Swon Brothers to return
‘The Voice” isn’t just supporting many of their former artists on the December 10 results show; it’s giving all of them a venue in which to perform some of their new material.
The lineup is a pretty enormous one, and in addition to getting to see Christina Aguilera perform her song off of “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” soundtrack in “We Remain,” you’ll have reigning champion Danielle Bradbery appearing for the first time since a pre-taped segment earlier this season to perform “Never Like This” from her newly-released debut album. Meanwhile, runner-up Michelle Chamuel and third-place-finishers the Swon Brothers will also each perform. (The Swon Brothers recently signed to a country label, and are recording some new music.) Cassadee Pope from season 3 will also return, where she will perform “I Wish I Could Break Your Heart.”
There is more of a reason than ever at this point to feature some former “The Voice” contestants on the show, at least in that they are starting to have a little bit more in the way of mainstream success after the show. Both Danielle and Cassadee have scored top 25 singles on the country charts, and the latter has sold over 1.5 million digital singles for “Wasting All These Tears.” While it has taken a while, the show is starting to become more adept at putting their contestants in places to succeed, or at least do what they would have wanted to before the show. Take for instance Michelle, who wanted to use the show as a platform to better continue what she was already doing rather than go in a completely different direction. Many of these artists vs. the “American Idols” of the world already know who they want to be, but just need a little bit of a kick to ensure that they are able to make it there.
You can see the five contestants that are remaining on “The Voice” over at the link here, and we are going to have our customary contestant rankings up come Saturday.

MIchelle’s album under her Reverb Junkie label “all I want,” released since The Voice, peaked at #6 on the Billboard dance/electronic chart, pretty great for a completely indie artist! Go Down Singing and another new song and All I Want are now available on itunes.

OMG! So happy and excited for Michelle’s return to The Voice stage. I’ve been waiting all season for her comeback performance. Can’t wait to see her perform her latest single “Go Down Singing” which is amazing and a perfect song for her.
