‘Sleepy Hollow’ spoilers: Victor Garber lands role with MAJOR Ichabod Crane connection

Just in case the idea of more “Sleepy Hollow” was not catching your attention already, perhaps the idea of seeing Victor Garber on the show later this season will. If you are a lover of all things genre, how could it not?

In news that was first confirmed to TVLine, the former “Alias” actor / upcoming “Good Wife” guest star is set to grace the show for at least one episode as the father of Ichabod Crane. Unless there is some more supernatural tomfoolery afoot here, we’re looking at a character who will appear in flashbacks to the earlier stages of Ichabod’s life back before Starbucks, cell phones, and other modern conveniences infiltrated his life.

Garber’s casting only continues what now has to be the brief “Sleepy Hollow” tradition of casting awesome guest stars to get you even more excited about the show. Just look at some of the people who have been brought on already, especially a certain man in John Noble who is going to be back as the Sin Eater very soon. Not only that, but it has been confirmed already that he will also be gracing the show for more episodes of the show’s second season. We will only be so lucky if Garber chooses to do the same. For now, let’s just focus on the good stuff that is coming up, shall we? “Sleepy Hollow” is starting to feel like one of those seasons that over time, could build up the same sort of crazy following that we saw with “Fringe.” We just have to hope that it finds a way to draw better ratings at the same time, that way its fans are not thrust into any sort of incessant anxiety attacks over a possible cancellation.
