‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 10, episode 11 spoilers: Who returns to the hospital?

The latest -Thursday night promises to be a pretty powerful episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” season 10, especially when you are talking in terms of who is going to be coming back to the hospital. It hasn’t been teased until now, but some new information makes it very clear that for the first time in a few weeks, James Remar is going to be back as Alex’s father!

However, there is a pretty significant twist to the way in which we are seeing the man today: For the first time, it is not going to be as a guy oblivious to the world around him. Rather, a video posted on TVLine shows him back in the hospital, in need of medical attention once again and claiming that he realized who he was the moment that Alex left the bar. He remembered when he was furious at him decades earlier, and all of those emotions came rushing back into his mind.

But is Alex suddenly going to be feeling any sort of gratitude over this? Hardly. Instead, he more or less refuses to help him, and Jo steps in instead thanks to it being the oh-so important thing as her medical responsibility to do so. She struggles to try and make things right again … and we will have to wait and see if she succeeds at all. It’s not a particularly easy thing to do, given that you have decades of resentment built up here, and there are only two episodes left before a lengthy hiatus lasts until March. We don’t know about you, but we’d much rather see this story tied up before then. There are so many other places to take Alex in the spring when it comes to his relationship with Jo, in particular if he is feeling ready to commit to her in the long-term as a fiancee or even a wife.

Remar has been killing it in this role, and that would be the only reason why we would want to draw this out for as long as we possibly could.
