‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 10 spoilers: More on April’s wedding, Meredith and Cristina’s struggle
When is “Grey’s Anatomy” ending for 2014? Mark December 12 on your calendar. This midseason finale is going to be a big one, even compared to some other self-described “big ones” in the past. For the second straight year, we’re closing out December with a wedding! The difference this time around is that it’s the wedding of April and Matthew rather than Ben and Bailey, and there is still just as much uncertainty as to whether or not the ceremony is actually going to happen. (Jackson and April fans will be crossing their fingers like they are one square away from completing bingo.)
This episode, per a press release, has the Bob Marley song “Get Up, Stand Up” as a title. Also, the synopsis below suggests that there are some other characters who are going to be so distracted that they’ll probably not be able to really enjoy the festivities:
“On the day of April’s wedding, the Grey Sloan Memorial doctors are all preoccupied with their own drama. Meredith and Cristina continue to argue about their research and careers, Bailey comes clean to Ben about her feelings regarding him moving back to Seattle, and Shane puts himself in a risky situation.”
Maybe this episode will end up being the breaking point for Meredith and Cristina, or the catalyst that starts in motion Sandra Oh’s exit from the show. As for Bailey and Ben, we really just hope for a compromise. Ben is no poster child for smart decisions, but Bailey feels this season like an impossible woman to please. We totally get the level of stress he has about it.
The obvious elephant in the room here with this episode is Jackson, and the press release sadly doesn’t mention him. Is he going to be in attendance at the wedding, or running in at the last second yelling “I object” like a cheesy romantic comedy. Given that the show won’t be back until March, let’s just hope that it gives you some sort of conclusion to be happy about.
