‘Homeland’ season 3, episode 10 video: A simple (but powerful) Damian Lewis teaser

There are only three episodes left on “Homeland” season 3, and we definitely understand that it feels almost like we really have not seen that much at all from Damian Lewis or his character of Nicholas Brody. However, that will change at least somewhat moving forward.

As the new sneak peek video below courtesy of Showtime  carefully shows, Brody is going to take his time before embarking on what will be a very important mission that could define his life. If he succeeds, than he can help to ensure that Javadi ends up ascending to a more important position in Iran, where he can be better controlled by the U.S. Government. However, failure means death, and failure in the wrong way also could ensure that the entire situation falls apart before the government’s eyes. Suddenly, they will not have any way at all in order to ensure success, and Saul may as well just walk away from the position.

Of course, this could also help to further define Brody’s legacy, and make him out to be a hero more so than just a terrorist. If there is a way to clear his name in the Langley bombing while at the same time a way for him to be able to take out a high-ranking official here, maybe someday his family could have a little bit of peace. But either way, the interesting debate here is whether or not Brody can ever come back to America and live a normal life again. He will always be judged in one way or another, and his very presence in the country could end up leading to violence.

We didn’t feel this sort of tension for the first eight or nine episodes of “Homeland” this season, but now that it is finally here, we cannot wait to see what is coming up next.
