‘The Sing-Off’ season 4 preview: Home Free performs Florida Georgia Line’s ‘Cruise’

Nick Lachey -Is there a singing show out there that makes us as happy as “The Sing-Off“? While you may not always have singers on here that go on to be big stars after the fact, they are artists who go out there, put their all into their performances, and really find some other ways to impress using just their voices. (On the flip side, last season did prove with Pentatonix that it is possible to have some success after the show if you work hard.)

On Monday, December 9 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time (after “The Voice”), you are going to have an opportunity to see one of the more creative singing competitions out there return. Nick Lachey is back as host, and joining Shawn Stockman and Ben Folds on the panel this year is Jewel.

As for the video below, it’s a performance by Home Free of the Florida Georgia Line song “Cruise,” which ended up becoming one of the biggest country hits of all time when it first hit the radio. These guys are still counting their money from this, and Nelly is off somewhere thanking his lucky stars that this happened in the first place. This is the first time that we’ve heard this group, so it’s hard to sit here and say that they are exclusively country. But this is clearly a performance that tends to yield itself somewhat to that sound, but they do a great job with it regardless.

As for how far these guys could go, well we’re excited to see how it all plays out. We’re mostly happy that there will still be something worth watching throughout the holiday season, when many new programs are at an end.

What do you think about this performance, and are you ready for the new season to arrive? If you do want to read some more news related to “The Sing-Off,” our advice is to just head on over to the link here.
