‘The X Factor’ USA alums Fifth Harmony ready for Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade debut

Take a look -While we’ve been pretty hard at times on this season of “The X Factor” for everything from its format to its hosting, you can at least give Simon Cowell some credit for finding a way to guide Fifth Harmony into being one of the most popular girl groups out there. All of these ladies have talent in their own right, but he and his team have enabled them to travel the country, do a variety of promotional gigs, and also record a debut EP in “Better Together.”  They’re coming off a return appearance to the show where they sang “Me and My Girls,” and they are now getting ready for one of the biggest gigs of the year: The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The proof of the ladies’ excitement is in the pudding; or in this case, a post on their official Twitter account:

“We’re in NYC and way too excited to sleep!!! Who’s watching the @Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade tomorrow at 9am on NBC??”

Even though the weather for the parade this year is set to be pretty miserable by most accounts, it is looking like the show will in fact go on. Not only that, but there will be opportunities for them to meet some new fans as they tough out the rain, snow, and cold temperatures. This is not necessarily the sort of gig that we could see doing a number of times if we were a big star, but it is definitely something worth giving a try once just to say that you are a part of something that you probably grew up watching as a kids. This is a Thanksgiving morning tradition, or at least something to put on while you’re getting together the meal for the day. (We like a one-two punch of this and also the National Dog Show.)

Are you excited to see the parade tomorrow, and also Fifth Harmony? We’ll have coverage of everything at this link! Also, click here if you want to read our full review of tonight’s “X Factor” episode.
