‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ review: Kyle Richards and another ‘bully’ storyline
On the surface, you would think that Monday night’s “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” episode was perfect for the show. Most of the drama was ridiculous and petty, you had some of the ladies embarrassing themselves, and you had another reminder that Lisa Vanderpump really is the center of attention at all times.
But, here is the problem with all of this: The story really didn’t do very much for us in the department of bringing anything new to the table … mostly because we’ve already had another fight very similar to the one at the center of this episode. Remember this past season of “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” where we had Alexis Bellino tossing around the world “bully” at Gretchen Rossi? The only difference between that story and this one is that with Gretchen, Alexis was tossing it at her face. Brandi Glanville is accusing Kyle Richards of using this particular terminology, and it is apparently not appreciated.
We are constantly inclined to side with the person being called the bully these days unless there is actual evidence of bullying, given that this word has become such a “get out of jail free” card for anyone who is in an uncomfortable situation. We don’t really think that Kyle is a bully; if she is, all of these women are bullies. Kyle and Brandi just don’t get along, and this was an easy way to get at her.
Slightly more entertaining this week than listening to allegations about people saying things to the tabloids was Joyce Giraud trying to speak with Lisa about her potentially being “rude” to her earlier this season, mostly because this was like someone shaking a hornet’s nest to see if there is anything inside. While nothing has really happened just yet, Lisa’s confessional after the fact was certainly biting and we’re sure that something great is going to come out of this soon enough. Oh, you rookie Housewives have so much to learn. Grade: C+.

Got a laugh out of Brandi not wanting to be called a bully in front of her children, but on primetime national TV she presents herself as pure trash, mouth and action. Does she think for one minute her kids are unaware of this? Think again, Brandi!
