‘Glee’ alum Dianna Agron stars in The Killers’ ‘Just Another Girl’ video, and it’s awesome

As a lifelong fan of The Killers, we admit that a way for almost any actor to endear themselves to us would be in starring in one of the band’s music videos, but we especially like the turn here by Dianna Agron in the “Just Another Girl” video below for a number of reasons.

First of all, it really is acting in a way you don’t often see. The “Glee” alum, who has not appeared on the show since the middle portion of season 4, played the part here of frontman Brandon Flowers, and really tried to capture some of his swagger and energy. It’s nice to see an actress in a music video not forced to just play a love interest to someone, and get an opportunity to do something a little different. To an extent, this is something that “Glee” probably helped prepare her for when it comes to the energy needed to shoot a video like this.

Also, the video’s a nice little tour down memory lane for the band, starting with the days of “Hot Fuss” and moving forward into “Sam’s Town” and the rest of the group’s history. It’s basically like looking at a decade’s worth of performances in around a few minutes’ time, but with a different person cast in the lead role.

This is not the first time Brandon Flowers has hired a popular actress to star in a music video playing a refreshing sort of role. In his video for “Crossfire” (which was a part of his solo project), Charlize Theron starred as a woman who needed to save him from a variety of different situations.

Now, we just have to hope that sooner or later, Agron is able to secure a spot on “Glee” again. She has claimed that she is open to go back for a gig, but there has been nothing cast for her as of late.
