Thanksgiving Week TV: Are ‘The Blacklist,’ ‘Hart of Dixie,’ and ‘Sleepy Hollow’ new tonight?
As we first said yesterday, Thanksgiving Week can be a confusing time for many, as there are a myriad of different programs airing new episodes, and others that are going into hiatus for a week due to fears that their shows will lose viewers thanks to people traveling / preparing for the holiday shopping season.
However, the good news when it comes to Monday night is that you’re really not going to be missing much of anything at all. Not only are all of your favorite shows across the major networks airing new episodes, but some of them are going to contain some of the biggest surprises of the season so far. “Castle” is going to air an emotional episode that gives you a sense as to what the main characters’ future could be, and “The Blacklist” (returning after a one-week hiatus) will be showing you who Raymond Reddington really is afraid of.
Also worth noting here is that this is the week for many fall finales to play out. You will see the last episodes of “Beauty and the Beast,” the aforementioned “Castle,” and “Hart of Dixie” until new new year; not only that, but tonight marks the first part of the “Dancing with the Stars” finale, where one of four contestants in Bill Engvall, Corbin Bleu, Amber Riley, or Jack Osbourne walks away with the Mirrorball Trophy. The second part of this is going to air on Tuesday night.
As for some other shows, they will be preparing to end their fall portion of the season next week. We’re going to be seeing the end of “How I Met Your Mother” and the rest of CBS’ comedy block until 2014 starting next week, and Fox is going to be inching closer to sending off “Sleepy Hollow.”
One show that does have two more weeks to go after tonight is “The Voice,” and that is going to quickly lead into the start of their holiday show “The Sing-Off.” The great thing about this holiday season is that you’re going to still have some great options for viewing, even if there is less new programming than usual.
