‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: See Juan Pablo Galavis, a ‘pregnant’ woman, more in first promo

During the American Music Awards tonight, ABC decided to lift the veil on the first promo for “The Bachelor” starring Juan Pablo Galavis. The good news? We have a feeling that this won’t be the same sort of boring season that we saw when we had Desiree Hartsock as the leading lady earlier this summer. While we don’t know enough about the guy yet to know if he has a great sense of humor, we can at least say the following about him: He’s going to bring the romance, and he has a great cast of female suitors trying to win his heart.

Unfortunately, the first promos never reveal too much about the action late in the season, but there is some great footage of Juan Pablo himself in the video, and also some of the arrivals … including someone who is pregnant? We imagine that this is some sort of trick, since this is the sort of thing that always happens with the limousine arrivals to throw the guys off. (Traditionally, the people with the crazy introductions don’t go too far, unless they have a certain essence of being cool to them at the same time like Jef Holm and his skateboard.)

But then again, if the pregnant lady is actually pregnant, hats off to her for having the guts to go on the show. Juan Pablo will have a struggle getting rid of her if she is, since then you run the risk of coming off superficial. Regardless, this woman will be one of at least 20 (thought likely 20-30) competing for his heart … and also air time. Just wait for the traditional competition of seeing how many people are there for the “right reasons.” It happens every time.
