‘Game of Thrones’ season 4 spoilers: Kit Harrington teases ‘action-heavy’ episodes ahead
Unless you are a reader of the George R.R. Martin A Song of Ice and Fire series, “Game of Thrones” is not an easy show to be spoiled on. Thanks the remote and secluded filming locations (save for when they’re in Dubrovnik), this is a show that cannot be spoiled when it comes to set photos. Also, the actors tend to stay extremely coy in fear that HBO is going to send their own army of assassins to take them out.
Therefore, you can’t blame Kit Harrington for keeping things relatively coy during his new interview with GQ, where he was honored as one of the men of the year. While he expressed his thrill that the Red Wedding actually paid off this past season and lived up to all of the expectations out there, he also said what he could about the season ahead:
“It’s the most action-heavy. It’s the most expensive. And there’s more death. They haven’t lowered the bar.”
When we last saw Jon Snow, he had just ended up losing his love in Ygritte after refusing to go on a rampage against the Night’s Watch. He’s now within the walls of Castle Black again, and while the path seems a little clearer for characters like King Joffrey and Danaerys (at least when it comes to those who haven’t read the books already), Jon’s story is a little more of a mystery for the time being. There are many different directions that his story could go, but the fact that he stresses the action and the death suggestions that there really is quite a bit to look forward to here.
“Game of Thrones” season 4 recently wrapped up filming across three countries, and now, the show is deep into its post-production as it prepares to open later this spring. HBO will probably not confirm a premiere date until the start of next year, but you can probably expect something in late March or early April.
