‘The Originals’ episode 8 preview: Joseph Morgan, Claire Holt, and more dagger threats

Is Klaus going to be able to use his sister as a method to get to Marcel? It’s unclear whether or not this little plan of his is going to work on “The Originals” Tuesday night, but he is sure going to try.

In the new video below, you have an opportunity to see the likes of Joseph Morgan and Claire Holt’s characters sit down for what is a very intense discussion that can be summed up pretty easily: Rebekah wants to make sure that she stays safe, so she does not want to do anything that runs the risk of crossing her brother. However, at the same time she also has her own priorities, hopes, and dreams, and does not want to allow him to get in the way of these at all. This is a delicate tightrope for her to continue to move along, and is the discussion with her brother she cites Elijah as one of the reasons that she is following Klaus’ lead.

But Klaus makes an interesting declaration about whether or not she should be afraid about some of his new supposed methods of torture: If he is going to try and destroy her in any way, he will do so using a dagger. She should already know that, given that he has already done this before and would probably do it again. In Klaus’ mind, he definitely thinks that Rebekah should be listening to what he is saying, but why should she? This is a guy who clearly still cannot be trusted, even with family.

While it is not in this preview, expect this episode to be the most shocking and violent yet potentially of the entire series, given that we are setting the stage for an epic war to be waged between the various factions of New Orleans on the upcoming midseason finale.
