‘The Mentalist’ season 6, episode 8 spoilers: ‘Red John,’ Simon Baker, and final teasers

Has this week felt long for anyone else? There tends to be a little bit of anticipation for almost every episode that airs in November, but this installment of “The Mentalist” is different than most. This marks the end of the Red John saga once and for all, and allows Patrick Jane to finally get out of the shadow more or less of the man who has been responsible for ruining his family and creating an obsession in him for the last decade.

But do you want some final teasers when it comes to “Red John” now? This is what we’re here for! We will start things off here with executive producer Bruno Heller, who handed out the following message when it comes to the subject of whether or not your guesses about the end of the case may be right based on what we’ve seen already:

“I would say after what happened in the previous episode, if you think you know what’s happening and you know where it’s going, you’re wrong.”

What is rather interesting here is that speaking to this same publication in E! News, Simon Baker almost did a little damage control in suggesting that Heller may be exaggerating,  and the point here primarily is to keep you guessing for a while:

“I wouldn’t necessarily say you may be wrong because that might give it away completely!” 

the only substantial teaser that we are getting from Baker right now is that regardless of what happens when it comes to Red John, at least the case overall allows for an opportunity for Patrick Jane and Lisbon to get a little closer, which could help them when it comes to pushing beyond this case.
