‘The Blacklist’ episode 9 spoilers: More from Diego Klattenhoff, Megan Boone

The Blacklist logo any seasonMonday night’s “The Blacklist” is going to have quite a difficult challenge ahead of it. First of all, it has to make sure to keep the level of interest high following a week off the air. We still don’t understand why NBC decided that it would be better to fragment off part of their first season for a recap episode of “The Voice,” but it is what it is at this point. We just have to deal with it as best we can.

But what should at least make you a little more excited is the arrival of the epic two-part episode we’ve been teasing on the site all month long. This is one that is going to feature the arrival of a major new villain who is going to actually give Raymond Reddington a reason to be afraid; his actions could have deadly implications, and at least one member of Liz’s team at the bureau could be in trouble.

One of these said people is play by none other than Diego Klattenhoff, who knows a thing or two about being in crazy situations thanks mostly to what we’ve seen from him on “Homeland” over the years. So speaking to Entertainment Weekly, he does his best to set up the upcoming story by saying the following:

“Episodes 9 and 10 are going to be big. We’re definitely going to have a big episode. I would say it’s our best episode of the season so far.”

Let’s hope that he is speaking the truth, since we are getting so close now to the first major hiatus of the season thanks to the winter break. While NBC has not unveiled their midseason schedule just yet, we just hope that it is constructed in such a way that we are given new episodes following “The Voice.” If you have the lead-in, you might as well take advantage of it.

As a bonus treat for you below, the bonus video via NBC features Megan Boone answering some of your questions about the show … without really giving away. She also appears to thankfully be far less afraid for her life in this video than she has been over the course of the show the past few weeks.
