‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 7, episode 9 preview: A Wolowitz Thanksgiving

Here it is -When you show is around for seven seasons, it can sometimes be pretty hard to figure out something to put on an episode that has not been done before. It’s with that in mind that we admit to being somewhat surprised when it comes to one aspect of Thursday’s “Big Bang Theory” season 7 episode: Thanksgiving has not been done on the show before now.

As the first sneak peek below tells us, there is a time-honored tradition when it comes to Sheldon and Leonard’s apartment on the big day: He cooks something that is pretty terrible, and then is forced into listening to Sheldon complain about it for the rest of the day. Somehow, this has morphed into a tradition, and Leonard is of course thrilled when the opportunity is presented to not have to endure this year again, and to do something a little different for a change. (Somewhere after the scene, he’s probably even doing a victory dance.)

So what is this opportunity? There is a little bit of a twist to it, at least in that it involves going to the Wolowitz household, and enjoying a holiday mean that includes having to sit around and listen to Howard act extremely awkward in front of Bernadette’s dad. Her mom is off traveling for some reason, so he and Mrs. Wolowitz are the only two people who are in the mix here from the parent standpoint. (Somewhat strange for a Thanksgiving, but we’ll allow it.)

The second sneak peek below is basically Howard being forced to spend time with his father-in-law, which he clearly does not want to do, given how terrifying the guy is. This scene also teaches us that, for whatever reason, Raj is actually a great cook for all things thanksgiving, and will help to lead the charge here.

There is another story for this episode teased in the promo here, and it involved the return of someone from Penny’s past with a surprising revelation. While we won’t spoil it for you here, let’s just say that it is one of the more-popular characters to has graced her life since the beginning of the show.
