NBC’s ‘The Voice’ results: Did Caroline Pennell, Kat Robichaud, and Austin Jenckes avoid elimination?
For whatever reason, Kat Robichaud just hasn’t been able to make it happen with the audience; while she has been hot-and-cold at times, she’s much more entertaining than the guys who continue to be there. Meanwhile, Jacquie Lee and Caroline Pennell are great! In what universe should they be in jeopardy at this point in the competition? It was the iTunes results that had us worried about them. We predicted tonight that Jacquie, Kat, and Austin Jenckes would be in the bottom three, and this could create some sort of Twitter chaos.
However, we were at least wrong in that Jacquie was still saved by the viewers, which means that she is actually going to have an opportunity to stick around for a little while longer and help Christina Aguilera out. The four who were forced to wait until the end of the show were Cole Vosbury, Austin, Kat, and Caroline … and it felt obvious that Cole was safe thanks to him having the best iTunes performance of last night.
Cee Lo Green has to be fuming at this point, right? We’d imagine so, since this was a dangerous situation for him to lose both of his artists. We feel like Caroline should have gotten another shot, but our concern was that Blake Shelton and his Twitter army is known to cause a little bit of chaos.
But luckily for Caroline, she lives to sing another day! While Cee Lo may now only have one singer, it’s someone who really did not deserve to be in danger in the first place. We feel like she can turn it around next week, but she needs a big song in order to do so.

I think Blake got robbed Austin deserved to be in the final 8 I do not like the new save vote If America is voting based on Monday’s show then there should be 8 top vote getters and 2 with the lowest votes Why is there a need for another twitter vote for the bottom 3 to save 1 and send to home I just don’t understand
again I say Austin and Blake got robbed

Thank you Linda! I have been asking the same question. It just does not makes sense. It is very likely that Austin, based on America’s votes, was saved but ended up in the bottom three and therefor included in this “twitter save vote”. Although I am very happy that Caroline was saved!

The eliminations of Kat and Austin weren’t a surprise. But, Caroline in the bottom three? That was a real surprise. This week, Caroline charted better on iTunes than she did last week, and she charted higher this week than Jacquie, Will, Tessanne and Ray. Clearly, Caroline’s fans (who vote by means other than downloads) failed to support her this week. At this point, I’m not sure that anybody can beat Matthew. I’d put Matthew, Cole and James in the Top 3. But since iTunes is becoming a less-than-reliable predictor of results, there could be a whole lot of surprises ahead.
