‘The Good Wife’ season 5 spoilers: New details on Jason O’Mara’s debut, Alicia’s new case

The latest -

“The Good Wife” season 5 is going through a sort of experimental period, which is something that it really did not even have to do had they wanted to. The show was already at a creative high this year, and that was before it was even revealed to will that Alicia and Cary were going to be leaving Lockhart Gardner for a firm of their own. Since that time, though, the show has been on some sort of runaway crazy train, and we only anticipate that it is going to be getting even crazier before things start to level off.

As you know already, Sunday night’s new episode “Whack-a-Mole” is going to feature the appearance of Jason O’Mara in the character of Damian Boyle, a man who is going to try and be a replacement of sorts for Alicia or Cary at the firm. The new question is how quickly he is going to fit in with the group. Based on the official synopsis via CBS, this debut could ultimately be a little bit chaotic:

“Alicia tries to hold a website accountable when its users accuse her client, a college professor, of being linked to domestic terrorism. Meanwhile, Will goes against Diane’s wishes when he hires Damian Boyle, an unpredictable attorney with ties to organized crime, who immediately interjects himself into Alicia’s website case. Also, Eli and Jackie clash over a Florrick family secret.”

O’Mara is hopefully going to bring a new sort of energy into the Lockhart Gardner universe, and hopefully help some of them forget a little bit about what they have been through. His presence is exciting; but, what we are particularly worried about is just if the show is going to stretch itself too thin by focusing on a couple of individual firms rather than just one. This did not really work out so well for “Glee” when they started doing it at the start of season 4.
